When I opened the kitchen curtains the other morning I spotted red across the lawn. The poppies are blooming! Is it any wonder why so many fabrics and embroidery designs are based on this flower?
And for those of you like my neighbors: These are Oriental Poppies not Opium Poppies. I bought the seeds legally at Lowe's about ten years ago.
