Domestic Sewing

I always think of this sort of thing as domestic sewing--some new table napkins.  We always use cloth napkins, and it was past time for some new ones.  I made eight but the other four are in the laundry.  Domestic sewing isn't my favorite type of sewing, but I'm (usually) always pleased with the results.  And look at the neat fabric that would never fit into any other sewing area!

Love those! Is that a real vintage print or just "vintage-y"?

I always use cloth napkins. It's better for the planet. And I get ridiculous looks from guests who claim they didn't know such a thing existed. I never make mine own, though. The thrift store sells them for like 12 for $3. Ain't like folks buy them.

This isn't vintage fabric. I found it on sale earlier this year. I think the selvage said Michael Miller Happy Family or Camping or something like that.

Yes, Serenity, that's why I never have paper napkins in the house. I actually have a drawer stuffed with vintage napkins --lots of linen ones I always throw out to use. But company looks at me oddly too when I put out vintage cloth napkins and seem shy to use them, so I made these hoping to make it less awkward for them!
