As asked in the comment section: Yes, Steph, here's the back of the envelope. All the patterns I show on Mondays are from my collection --some of them I end up selling, but I never sell my WWII patterns. I did sell four of them once and have regretted it since. This one is sitting in my pile of "maybe make this summer" patterns (which has so much in it there's no way half will get done).
Hopefully that's clear enough, if not let me know. I've noticed some of my photos are blurry lately when they go up even though they don't seem blurry in my album. Also, here's a part of the instruction sheet:

I wonder how the neckline would work for a blouse. Very, very pretty. Thanks for the inspiration!
Could I please pretty please have a look at the envelope back? (assuming it's yours...)
You're so awesome. I might need to attempt a knock off soon.
I don't get rid of my ww2 patterns anymore, either. I also regret some from the early 50's. If they are with me, they're safe and living.
Lovely pattern! I think we have the exact same taste in patterns :) I'm doing a new feature on my blog called Mission McCall Mondays...I was wondering if I could use some of your Kaumagraph Transfer images (posted awhile ago) from 1938 when I get to those pattern numbers? Love them!!!
@ Debi --Yes, go ahead! I saw your post about doing this and thought I might contact you with what I have, but I've been struggling with a miserable cold for a week. I'm going to scan some of my patterns this week to get better images of them. Let me know what numbers you're referring to and I'll make sure to scan those.
Wow! I think I found a sewing goddess. ;D I just watched the movie Brigadoon, and I fell in love with the dresses! I have made several Civil war ballgowns, but none of the skirts hang like that...that wonderful 1950's drapey-flowey awesomeness. Do you know how they do it?
I think the drapey-ness has to do a lot with the fabric. The old rayons challis and crepes would fall like that. Modern rayon challis will do it just as well. As much as I love cotton, most of it doesn't drape as well.
