70's Wrap Dress Pattern

Strangely I have very few patterns from the 1970's.  But after making dresses from late 60's patterns over the summer I find myself drifting to more fitted styles this week - as in they actually have a defined waistline.  I was looking at some early 60's patterns and then came across this 70's wrap dress one.  Maybe a wrap dress for the transition season...maybe.

I have a pattern I bought recently that looks like this. And this is the reason I don't understand why folks discard their patterns after the make 1 garment.

People get rid of their patterns after making them? I've reused many of mine. Plus many of them can be changed around -- change the neckline, swap sleeves or skirt with a different pattern. I have a hard time getting rid of any pattern...except some of those 80's ones.

People DO throw away patterns after one making. And people like me scavenge them. Those who know I sew often pass their rejects to me. Sometimes there are boxes of old patterns at yard sales, or out on the curb for trash day. Put them in the deep freeze for a week, to kill any insect infestation. Move them to the sewing room for future use, or reference for stage costumes, or just to look at. Am I a hoarder? Of paper dressmaking patterns, yes.

Sounds like a nice hoard to me!
